9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Penn Oaks Summer Tennis Camp (Westtown School) is committed to providing the highest quality tennis in the area. Our staff includes experienced USPTR and USPTA certified instructors. Our program provides each player with the best instruction through well-designed drill and strategy sessions, stroke improvement, and match play. “Fun Fridays” conclude each week with a variety of fun-filled games. Student to Pro ratio 6:1.
Classes take place on the Westtown School tennis courts (in the Westtown field house, in inclement weather).
Munchkins – A beginning program designed to introduce young players to the game of tennis in a fun and exciting format! Drills and games are combined to help develop hand-eye coordination and balance while learning the basic strokes of tennis. Backhands, forehands, volleys, serves and overheads are covered throughout the session. These skills and more will be taught and reinforced through activities using the foam 10 and under tennis balls.
Hot Shots – Students will learn all of the strokes in tennis, learn how to play the game of tennis, learn to rally and play out points. The use of the Orange Dot 10 and under tennis ball will be introduced at the beginning stages of rallying with one another. The goal is to transition our students into a Hot Shot Elite Clinic where point play and stroke production become the major focus. Hot Shots Elite and Aces also available for students with more advanced skill sets.
Pair this option with a half day of Trailblazers Ourdoor Day Camp (includes lunch)
